I recently received my Ph.D. in Integrative Biology at the University of California, Berkeley and was a UC MEXUS-CONACYT postdoctoral fellow at the Instituto de Biología, UNAM, México, under the supervision of Dr. Gabriela Parra-Olea. I am currently a postdoc in the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology at UC Berkeley in the Bowie lab.

I am interested in phylogeography, speciation and niche relationships, especially in plethodontid salamanders.

My dissertation research focused on salamanders in the Sierra Nevada of California and on the remarkable diversity of Central American Salamanders, while my current project deals with phylogenetic community ecology and diversification of Mexican salamanders.
